Many private colleges have a religious affiliation, which is often reflected in the school’s core values, regulations, and codes of conduct. The impact that religious affiliation has on the campus setting can vary greatly from one school to the next. Finding a college that fits well with family values can be an important factor for many in selecting a school. State schools have no such affiliation.

Smaller class sizes at private colleges allow students and professors to interact on a more personal level. Passionate teachers care about the success of each individual student. Your student is less likely to get lost in the crowd, and more likely to have opportunities in tutoring and mentoring programs.
