In the 2007-08 academic years, 98 % of incoming transfer students received some form of financial aid. The respiratory program at Newman University has a pulmonary doctor as one of the supervising agents thus providing quality education. Newman I T— designed with the application of knowledge in mind. Throughout our curriculum, students apply the topics through numerous hands-on, project based activities. An applied approach will cultivate the problem solving and analytical skills necessary for developing, managing, and maintaining information resources in today’s global electronic society.

- Newman University trains more teachers than any other private college or university in KS according to the 2005 Kansas Report for Section 207 in Title II of the Higher Education Act
- Newman University’s nursing program is ranked one of the state’s top programs based on the results of nursing student board exams.
- 96 percent of Newman eligible pre-med graduates have been accepted into medical schools over the past 10 years and 100 percent were accepted for 3 consecutive years. In 2009, 100 percent of pre-med students who applied for early admission to medical school were accepted.
- Newman University graduates have been accepted into law schools and professional programs at many prestigious institutions such as Notre Dame, Southern Methodist University and London School of Economics.
- 100 precent of first-year Newman students who responded in the 2008 National Survey of Student Engagement said they have a positive relationship with their professors (That’s 29 points higher than the survey average).
- 100 precent of May 2009 nursing graduated had a nursing job within 3 months
- 90 percent of cooperative education students in the 2008-2009 academic year were rated “Outstanding” or “Very Good” by mentors at their placement sites
- 92 percent of 2008 radiologic technology graduated passed the national certification exam on their first attempt
- 89 percent of 2007 education graduates passed all Kansas licensure tests taken for their area of specialization *
- 83 percent of 2007 education graduates were hired in their fields within a year of graduation *

| Transfer students do not require to live on campus unless they are 21 years and younger. If they wish to live off campus with their parents, then parents need to fill out the waiver form that is found under the housing site on our website. We also have an upper class living quarters that is usually available for student 21 and older. It features private bedrooms, full kitchens and baths, and furnished living rooms and bedrooms. This apt style living quarter is known as the Fugate Hall and it is first come first serve basis. |
