Ottawa University offers the rigorous and individualized educational experience of a four-year liberal arts college in an environment that nurtures student success. Established in 1865, the residential campus features historic buildings, extensive opportunities for involvement in student life, and an energetic and highly qualified faculty. Through positive relationships with faculty in the majors, advisors in our Adawe Life Plan Center, and other mentors, each student crafts a “Life Plan” for setting goals and realizing dreams.

At The College, placement data has been collected through career services and is being moved to a more University-wide process through the Graduate Exit Survey and the Alumni Survey.
Approximately 10% of our graduates since 2002 have enrolled in Ottawa University graduate degree programs.
The College prepares students for graduate studies in general through its liberal arts curriculum, emphasizing fluent writing, critical thinking, and disciplinary focus.
In addition, OU students have the opportunity to engage in deeply meaningful relationships with faculty members, which proves to be a unique and powerful initiation into the habits of mind required for advanced study. |

| “I chose Ottawa because the transfer process went smooth. The faculty that helped me with the process of transferring was more than friendly and remembered my name. This feels like home to me now because these teachers know who you are and care. All the people around you see you as a friend and know your name not a number. The experience here has been the best, the campus is always clean, we have lots of intramurals to do, the school spirit is high and everyone participates in watching all of the OU athletics. If you’re looking for a place to fit in, and have a good college experience Ottawa University is the place for you. Our teachers take academics seriously, you get a good education but you also become a part of the family here at OU.” — Jason, Beers, Ottawa University Student Body President |
